I have said on other media outlets that Bignot has built a side of non league players and has pitted them in the league.
The only experienced players are Ben Davies, Scott Vernon and Dizza. None of whom are fully utilised by Bignot. Much maligned as Hurst was, not least by me,the players he signed from non league, he mixed with seasoned pros so the likes of Zak Mills have benefitted. Bignot has basically re-built the team in his own image, in that they have all been moderately successful at non league level. This includes his numerous back room staff.
I have to question wether its good enough.

Hurst managed the first 14 league matches and Dave Moore had 1 as caretaker manager...
P 15 - W 6 - D 3 - L 6 - F 18 - A 18 - Pts 21
Bignot has now managed 15 league matches...
P 15 - W 5 - D 4 - L 6 - F 18 - A 21 - Pts 19
So, on the face of it not much has changed. But performances in terms of quality and consistency have dropped considerably. If anyone on here can remember abject performances from a Hurst team such as Bignot's team produced at Crawley, Stevenage & Crewe and at home to Exeter then I would be amazed. Since beating Carlisle we have solely relied on teams being useless against us to win a match.

Not to the extent of Saturday's game but you get my point.

I didn't go to Colchester or Exeter, but Wycombe, Crewe (H) and Hartlepool (H) we lost because of individual errors in generally poor games. Cheltenham (H) had Hurst about to piss off hanging over it.
The overall team performances have been dreadful since the Carlisle away win. Which coincidentally is when Bignot started bringing his own players in. Funny that.
