Hardly mysterious circumstances. Did a below average job. Ripped apart a squad in and around the play-offs and replaced it with players (who currently at least) are of a poorer standard and plummeted down the table.
And 6 of his 9 signing had played for either him, Moore or Whild before. 2 of the others had played against him in NL North last season and Gunning spent pre-season with him at Solihull. Suggests a very limited knowledge of players at this level.
It's good that those in power at the club have had the sense to consider our plight and whether Bignot has done enough to suggest he can achieve success next season.
Clearly Fenty and co have no faith in him.

I'm no fan, and I think he was the wrong appointment to start with. But straight after beating a form team 3.1 away?
And if Russel Fucking Slade comes back...

....I'd be delighted.
However not sure I'd want to listen to the 50% shit-storm that ensued..... then again, after 5 years with Hurst it would be kinda deja-vu.

But on the disappearance of Biggie... I hoped he'd start next season flying, the team all clicking into place but in reality he's made little sense since he came in, had a tendency to bullshit and my gut-feeling was that the shambles would rumble on into next season with him fired in November and us bottom half.

Without having checked I imagine a large percentage of the Fishy are in meltdown because of the seemingly imminent return of the Ace One.
Can somebody confirm that they are going on about him "walking out on us" when in reality the club allowed his contract to expire. And also that he played "hoofball" when in reality we played some excellent stuff under Slade. So what if we used the pace of Reddy and Parkinson to our advantage under him- you have to play to your strengths.

Yup, the fishy meltdown is occuring. So, thought I'd pop into a reasonable debate.
So, if Slade is appointed, who will he try and keep?

Can't argue with the fact that Russell Slade has won 0 promotions, 0 cups, and 0 anything in his long career as a manager.
I suppose if you are impressed by a monumental and systematic lack of achievement, he's your man.

Allowing Slade's contract to run out was the biggest own goal the club have made in the last 20 years. It is no coincident that every manager since has been on a 6 month rolling contract that never expires so a repeat is impossible.
Slade has made a living doing a great job at clubs playing at a higher level than their status/size or with serious issues going on behind the scenes (or both).
The club was on its knees when he took over in 2004 and he did a fantastic job.
Far from there being animosity between Fenty & Slade (as Fishy posters think), the pair are still good friends and always were.

By 'great jobs' you mean 'not getting promoted but not getting relegated either?' That's fine. I don't think we'll go down under Slade, but his record suggests we aren't going upwards either. Personally that strikes me as a negative appointment.

People throw "never been promoted" at Slade, but it's not like he's a mid-table plodder. He's lost 3 Play-off Finals at 3 different clubs. So, we're talking about "failure" by the narrowest of margins.
What Fishy fuckers constantly call the "Cardiff Debacle" was 90% plain bad luck. We lost Michael Reddy injured after half an hour, we had a clear penalty turned down which would have resulted in a red card and we lost 1-0. How is that a debacle?

It was a debacle. I pranged the car coming out of the garden and then we were on the worlds slowest and coldest mini bus which had to take a detour to some university in Brum to pick up a student. It was a terrible day although, as you say, the football bit was just unluckyish, we didn't turn up though.
