And you know what?
I really REALLY fucking hate this :-
“In parallel, we will develop discussions with the FA and Premier League alongside other stakeholders across football, as we look to find what is best for the English game."
FUCKING STAKEHOLDERS, THE FUCKING PREMIER LEAGUE they don't want what's best for the English game, they want what's best for them.

Yeah, i noticed that too. The banner headline was a cracker also.
'Whole Game Solution Consultation' smacks of bullshit. There is nothing wrong with the football pyramid that needs a solution apart from the top end, so leave us minnows and stop trying to turn the whole game into a brand.

I'm wondering exactly how the premier league "massively supports the EFL*"
* the Football League for fuck's sake!

I think some on the Fishy are losing site of the issues.
Its not really about breathing new life into a lower league cup competition. Its about how they did it and whether they'll do it again (they will), its about three board members deciding to vote for something, in the interests of the club, when they have, in their own words, not had time to consider the options. It's about the fact that our major shareholder had already publicly stated that he was not averse to the idea of B Teams etc., the fans, in the shape of the Trust, telling him they were opposed to it and then him and two cronies bugger off to Portugal and vote for a proposal that includes B Teams.
Its about the governance of what is supposed to be our club

And just for any of those idiots who think that attendances will increase because of the introduction of B Teams, in true Golly fashion here is a table showing average attendances for the U21 Premier League. U21 Attendances

Un-fucking-beliveable.
He should never have been given those shares. If he'd taken his bat home and demanded his loans be paid back he would have got a fraction of what they were worth and we would, as a phoenix club, have been well on the way to where we are now and free of the albatross around our neck. If he didn't take his bat home then we'd be a step or two further on (but still with the debt).
Quite apart from the fucking naivety displayed by him and the other 2 directors, I really cannot understand how someone who has worked alongside hard working fellow board members for the past few years can disregard them in this way. No wonder there have been all those rumours about people not wanting to work with him.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall next time he meets Dave Roberts and Jon Wood. The eye contact (or lack of) should be fascinating.

Frightens me that not only Fenty and his cronies but also countless other directors failed to challenge the fact the motion was put on the table at the last minute.
With all the people there you would expect a couple of them to at least ask for it to be deferred as they've not had time to consider the proposal. That's the sort of thing you expect, no demand, at a parish council meeting never mind a multi-million (if not billion!) pound organisation.

They can do what they want, they own it after all.

Well he won't have to worry about Dave Roberts in the boardroom anymore - now who is going to make the tea at board meetings? And if we haven't got a Chairman who takes the chair and if necessary has the casting vote at meetings ? - now let me guess...

The Premier League gives solidarity payments to every club in the Football League. From this season its...
Championship : £3 million per club League One : £450,000 per club League Two : £300,000 per club
That's £90 million the Premier League hand to the Football League (minus the clubs receiving parachute payments who do not receive solidarity payments). It would be naive to think that the Premier League are going to give the Football League that amount of money each season without expecting something in return that suits their agenda and not of the Football League and it's supporters. If you get into bed with the devil etc...
If supporters disagree then boycott the matches against the Premier League under 21 sides. If clubs disagree then play their own youth team/reserves against the Premier League under 21 sides.
This whole League 3 idea is because the Championship (because of the International windows) needs reducing down to 22 or maybe even 20 teams. But that doesn't mean we have to shaft every club in League One & Two as well.
What needs to happen is the Football League and the Premier League need to get together and decide what they want to do with the number of teams in the Premier League & Championship. Because of fixture congestion does the Premier League need to be reduced to 18 teams? Does the Championship need to be reduced to 20/22 teams? And then they need to leave the decision on how losing 2,4 or 6 teams from the top 2 divisions would effect League One and Two up to the clubs in those divisions.
For me I think the answers are: Premier League - stay at 20. Championship - reduce to 22. And then leave League One and Two at 24 clubs each and have a 90 team setup. Not ideal but 100% better than the 20-20-20-20-20 suggestion.
