The Football League (EFL) sells out to the Premier League by allowing 16 elite academies to participate in the Auto Windscreens/JP Trophy. The Premier League will add £1million to the prize pot. So what's next? Maybe the EFL would like to offer places in its League structure to Premier League academies. I can't write too much more because I am very angry about this. It would be interesting to find out which way GTFC voted on this matter after Mr. Fenty publicly stated that he was not averse to Premier League B teams in the league and regionalisation, although the AWS/JPT has always been regionalised. Sell out

I think every game in this competition should be boycotted by the fans. Playing every game in an empty stadium might wake a few of these dickheads up.

I've always dreamed of Grimsby Town playing Stoke City youth team away on a Tuesday night at Moss Road, Macclesfield.

Fucking terrible idea that should be boycotted and protested against at every given opportunity. Fucking arseholes just don't get it do they?

Exactly Kingston. Several clubs have already stated they voted against it but there is a deafening silence from BP mission control.

Clubs very slow in coming out. So far Hartlepool, Port Vale, Accrington Stanley, AFC Wimbedon, Luton and Portsmouth voted against.
There are plenty of unconfirmed rumours that only 50% needed for it to be passed and that all 72 teams got a vote.
Be interesting to know who is representing GTFC and how they voted. I said recently that I was worried the views of our former chairman and major shareholder would be taken as the official line from the club. If it is Fenty who is representing the club is he voting for his own choice or along club lines, because I would like to think that with two members of the Trust on the board, the clubs official stance would be against this move.

I understand the Trust board members were not consulted - can anyone confirm this please? If its right it's a) disgraceful and b)it just shows that the Trust are no more than the teaboys in the GTFC boardroom

Oxford and B.Rovers now saying they voted against but still nowt from our leader. Some trust members saying they are against and urging fans to email their disapproval. No one seems to know from the trust who or how we voted, which is pathetic. I fear Fenty may have a hand in this decision.

If it was Fenty representing us and if he did vote for it without consulting the board (i.e. the Trust's representatives), he should fuck off.

He owns more than 50% of the shares, his view is the clubs view.

He owns more than 50% of the shares, his view is the clubs view. Tried telling people this but got the old Trust Board members etc. Will nobody realise that it's Fentys club, he doesn't have to be Chairman.

Chesterfield have really plumbed new depths with this one. ReallySo we initially voted against it at the regional meeting but then it seemed everyone else was voting for it so we did the same. Anyway it'll create more interest and attendances were falling. Well keep an eye out mate because they're gonna fall through the floor. I still cannot fathom why any representative of any club would vote for it. The silence from Blundell Park is deafening.
