Finally got round to re-newing mine.
Anybody still wavering or not committing. Think the Operation 3K will struggle myself. Maybe 2,800ish

I'm a pay on the day kinda guy. I tell myself that i then have no commitments and don't feel obliged to go, but i go to every game anyway. Yeah, it's stupid i know.

Still haven't picked mine up yet. I'm not quite as excited about the new season as I should be.

Yeah, considering we have been waiting 2,282 days for Saturday I am quite apathetic about it. We are picking our STs up on Saturday. Maybe a good win against the relegation favourites might make me a little bit more excited about being back in the Football League?

Yeah, it's weird isn't it? I think a first game back in the league against Morecambe is a bit of a comedown from the euphoria of Wembley. I don't think i'll ever get as good a feeling watching Town as i did that day, so that's about as good as it gets. Hope it'll spice up a bit when we see a full away end against the bigger sides. Morecambe still feels non league to me.

I grew up with Town an established tier 2 (Championship) club. I just can't get excited about a season where the highlights are probably Portsmouth, Plymouth & Notts County. Yes, it's better than visiting Guiseley, Boreham Wood & Braintree. But I doubt I will be excited about a new season until we are visiting clubs like Derby, Nottingham Forest & Wolves in the league again.

I'm starting to feel a bit excited about it. It's a feeling I've not had for a few years. I was always pleased when the season started in the conference but there was always that thought that the most important part was the end ie. Getting promoted and the months leading up to it was just something you had to go through.
I'm interested to see how we can get on in the league with a (hopefully) half-decent manager, something we've not had since '05-'06. Hurst has undeniably changed the culture within the squad and it'll be interesting to compare that with the mostly dreadful Town teams of '06-'10.
Speaking of the Slade era, I think the next couple of seasons might mimic it a bit, stabilising this season and perhaps just missing out on the playoffs before a further improvement the season after.

Yeah, I think we might have a frustrating season spent well clear of the bottom but 6-9 points behind the play-offs. ie Like The Ace One's first season.

That's exactly it believeincod. It was all about the end of the season and the rest was just something to endure. I don't think i'll start feeling the old buzz unless and until we are up another league and holding our own. Also PH is not exactly inspiring in the way previous successful managers have been. He's no Laurie Mac or Buckley is he?
